How to Remove Make-up

You can artfully apply makeup, and you know that stay-put makeup can keep your face looking fresh all day and evening. But then you get to the bathroom at night and must vigilantly remove all the makeup. What's the best way to do it?

Eyes

Creamy eye shadows, liquid liners and waterproof mascaras are difficult to remove. Try soaking cotton pads in a gentle eye makeup remover and hold the pads over closed lids for about a minute. Then gently wipe away the makeup without pulling and tugging the skin around your eyes.

Makari has a very gentle make-up remover perfect for hard to remove eye make-up, face foundation, and lipsticks:

Lips

Your signature red stay-put lipstick keeps your pout delectably kissable all day, but can pose some hazards to your sheets and pillows. Warm water will not do the trick for long-wear lipsticks.  Soak a cotton pad in a gentle makeup remover and dab your lips until the lipstick comes off.

Face

You will definitely need Makari's Make-up Remover! Pour a quarter-sized amount into your palm and carefully dab the remover onto your forehead, temples, cheeks and chin -- and work the remover into the rest of your face, without pulling or tugging at the skin. Then apply a warm, wet washcloth over your face for one minute to allow the steam to work with the remover. Then gently pull the washcloth away while wiping off the makeup. Follow with a normal facial cleanser.

Makari's Deep Cleansing Lotion removes all dirt, grime, and makeup off your face:

Cleansing tips when you get home from your holiday parties

As we begin to attend all those office and family holiday parties to close 2011 with joyful celebrations, we need to remember that our skin can start showing the signs of too much eggnog, holiday cookies, and yummy chocolate cake.

Let's treat our skin gently these days during our nightly cleansing regimen. Here are a few tips on how to gently cleanse your skin:

- Use a high quality make-up remover, toner and cleanser. MAKARI'S MAKE-UP REMOVER, PURIFYING AND CLEANSING TONER, AND DEEP CLEANSING LOTION.

- Limit bath time. Too much hot water and long showers can remove oils from your skin. Limit shower time and use warm water.

- Pat your skin dry. After washing your face, gently pat your face you are not stretching your skin too much and you keep some moisture on your skin.

- Moisturize. Use a product like MAKARI'S BODY BEAUTIFYING MILK and NIGHT TREATMENT CREAM.

Wake Up Without the Make-Up and Feel Beautiful All Day

We've all been there, exhausted after a long day's work, or a night out with friends and you come home and all you want to do is spend some serious quality time with your pillow. You forget all about taking your make-up and then you wake up in the morning looking like a raccoon in the morning with your mascara smudged all over your face. The thing we don't realize is how vital it is to remove that make-up the night before. When you leave cosmetics on your face it gets caked into your pores making them look larger and making break-outs more constant. Makari's Make-Up remover works to dissolve even the most stubborn cosmetics while moisturizing and soothing your face so that it can regenerate and refresh over night. It's a quick and easy step to take right before bed, and Makari makes it that much simpler.
